Market Square Antiques

Welcome to our site.

It all started about 30 years ago. I was the owner of a construction company catering to realtors.  And was involved in restoring properties that had been foreclosed on. As such we starting collecting a lot of antiques and collectibles that people had discarded.

We rented a booth at one of the local antiques shops in old town Fredericksburg Virginia, about 200 sf. Over the next several years that little shop grew to about 7000 sf.

Next, we moved into our own building and called it “Market Square Antiques”, then be purchased a second existing shop called “Way Back When”. We now had over 17,000 sf. of retail space dedicated to selling antiques and collectible.

Fast forward about 30 years, we retired. Along the way we collected just about every thing of historic value and now it is time to pass our collection along to the next generation in the hopes that it will be preserved.

We hope you enjoy looking at these items, many dating back to the early teens and have been well preserved. We are also selling some reprints of old photographs and autographs believing that they still have value to a collector.
